Meatball Pepperoni Hoagies

A tasty change from the usual meatball sub is these Meatball Pepperoni Hoagies. For the ultimate comfort food experience, toasted hoagie rolls are piled high with juicy meatballs, zesty marinara sauce, gooey melted cheese, and salty pepperoni.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 190C 375F

Put breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl

Mix the ground beef and cheese together

Mix everything together well

Make meatballs out of the mixture that are about an inch across

The meatballs should be put on a baking sheet that has parchment paper on it

Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until done

While that's going on, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat

Take the meatballs out of the oven when they're done and raise the temperature to 400F 200C

Put the hoagies on a baking sheet

Put three to four meatballs on each roll

Then, cover the meatballs with marinara sauce and top with pepperoni slices and shredded mozzarella cheese

Put hoagies in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles

Enjoy while hot!
