Turkey, Prosciutto, and Avocado Panini
This panini with turkey, prosciutto, and avocado is a great mix of tastes and textures. The savory turkey and prosciutto go well with the creamy avocado, and the melted provolone cheese makes the sandwich extra yummy and gooey. It's a quick and easy way to eat dinner or lunch.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 8 slices of turkey breast
- 4 slices of prosciutto
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions:
Preheat a panini press or a skillet over medium heat
Assemble the sandwiches: Place 2 slices of turkey on each slice of sourdough bread, followed by 1 slice of prosciutto, a few slices of avocado, and 1 slice of provolone cheese
Top with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches
Brush the outsides of the sandwiches with olive oil
Place the sandwiches in the preheated panini press or skillet
If using a skillet, place another heavy skillet or a press on top of the sandwiches to press them down
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted
Remove the sandwiches from the panini press or skillet, slice diagonally, and serve hot
