Prosciutto and Pear Pizza with Rosemary Olive Oil Pizza Dough



With this Prosciutto and Pear Pizza, you can enjoy the best of both sweet and savory tastes. Herbs and spices are added to this classic favorite by using rosemary olive oil in the pizza dough. It's a tasty treat for your taste buds!

Ingredients:

  • 1 batch Rosemary Olive Oil Pizza Dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices of prosciutto
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish optional
  • Arugula leaves for garnish optional

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 475F 245C

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape

Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Brush the olive oil over the dough, leaving a border for the crust

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the olive oil-brushed dough

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce

Arrange the prosciutto slices, pear slices, and red onion slices evenly over the cheese

Sprinkle the fresh rosemary leaves over the pizza

Season with salt and black pepper to taste

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute

If desired, garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and arugula leaves

Slice, serve, and enjoy!
